Nagasaki was bombed August 9, 1945. After much deliberation, Emperor Hirohito surrendered September 2, 1945. He had no way of knowing we had shot our last shot. Had he not surrendered, we had no more bombs to drop, and in those years, it would have taken years to develop more. • Had Mother Russia not defeated Hitler for Great Britan and us, we never would have been able to stop Japan. All reputable historians agree.
