Fleet & Facility Manager The Best Bees Company Established in 2010, The Best Bees Company installs, manages and harvests honey from beehives on residential and corporate properties. Our mission is to improve bee health. We are a company of about 100 employees across the nation and growing steadily. While this role is not a beekeeping position, familiarity with bees is a plus and comfort around honey bees is a must. The Fleet & Facility Manager, internally known as the Quartermaster, will report to the Boston Deck Chief. This individual will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: Maintaining our fleet of beekeeping trucks, which includes scheduling service appointments for mechanical or body work. Keeping our trucks clean and fueled Maintaining a safe and secure work environment Managing security and alarm systems Issuing keys Sourcing and following up with vendors for facility related issues Keeping our Boston headquarters organized and tidy - including but not limited to: mopping the floors, emptying trash, wiping down surfaces, and keeping public spaces clean. Delegating to other shop staff when appropriate. Provisioning the field, shop, and office staff with needed equipment and supplies This position is about 80% hands on and 20% at your desk. To be our Quartermaster you will need: Qualifications - 2+ years of work experience that shows you don’t mind getting your hands dirty - Strong communication skills both verbal and written - Ability to switch gears quickly and adapt in our fast pace and unpredictable work environment - Valid Driver’s License with good driving record - Proof of COVID vaccination and indicated booster - Possess the physical abilities of lifting, bending, squatting, standing for extended periods - Must not be allergic to bee stings or a cat We also look for... - a passion for the environment - people skills and positivity Application must include a cover letter that is germane to this position and a resume and may be made to: [email protected].
