As part of the exhibition "Visions of Asturias", the Cultural Office will screen three documentaries about the displayed photographers. Visions of Asturias: La mirada de Ouka Leele The exhibition Visions of Asturias, displayed on the outer fence of the Former Residence of the Ambassadors of Spain, illustrates the distinctive and personal vision of four different Spanish National Photography Prize winners of this particular region in northern Spain. As an extension of this open-air photography show, the Cultural Office will screen three documentaries about three of the photographers included in the exhibition. With a magnetic personality, Ouka Leele has developed a unique and personal style throughout her career, in which painting, drawing and photography merge in a spectacular way. Her b/w photos finished with watercolor depict beings in a world of their own that, lit by color, are almost magical. In this unique documentary, shot over five years, Rafael Gordon investigates with all possible cinematographic resources, the work process of Ouka Leele and gives us the opportunity to see how this multifaceted world-renowned creator, Spanish National Photography Award winner, and emblem of the Madrid "Movida", works and feels. --- Important Information (please read carefully) A reservation on Eventbrite is mandatory, printed tickets are not required.Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.Doors open 20 minutes before posted showtime.Ticket holders will have access to the event while space is available.
