Support HBPD officers in the Unity Tour ‘They ride for those who died’. The HB Police & Community Foundation is hosting a fundraising dinner Please join the Huntington Beach Police and Community Foundation as we support our HBPD officers in the upcoming Police Unity Tour.  The Police Unity Tour is a 4 day bicycle journey over 300+ miles and takes place each year from New York to Washington D.C.  The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.  In May 1997 the Police Unity Tour was organized with the hope of bringing public awareness of Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices. Our fundraiser dinner to support our participating Huntington Beach officers at The Black Trumpet will include HEAVY appetizers such as Empanadas, Greek Tacos, Eggplant Caponata, Hummus, Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower, Tuna Tartare, Lobster Mac, Fig & Margarita Pizette and their awesome desserts! Proceeds raised from this dinner will provide direct financial support for up to 7 HB police officers to participate in the Unity Tour, including travel, fees and supplies. In addition, each officer is required to raise a minimum of $2,000 just to participate in the Unity Tour ride. Come meet some of our amazing police officers that are participating and enjoy a wonderful evening & meal at The Black Trumpet Bistro Tapas & Wine Bar. This event requires all tickets be purchased in advance with no sales at the door.
