Course Announcement: Contemporary Base Issues (CBI)119 WG, Fargo, ND (20-21 May, 2022)PLEASE ENSURE WIDEST DISTRIBUTION TO ALL PERSONNELINTRODUCTION: Major General Meaghan LeClerc, The Air National Guard Assistant to The Judge Advocate General, United States Air Force, cordially invites and encourages all officers, NCOs, and other support personnel to attend the upcoming CBI course scheduled for 20-21 May 2022. The course is being hosted by the 119th Wing, North Dakota Air National Guard. All instruction will take place on base at 1400 32nd Ave N., Bldg. 400, Fargo, ND 58102. OVERVIEW: The primary goal of the course is to prepare Air National Guard officers, NCOs, and future leaders to work as a team to identify and respond to contemporary base issues. Administrative, leadership, and legal topics will be addressed via lecture and student interaction over a two-day period. The CBI cadre’s goal is to make this course the most educational experience possible. Instruction begins at 0730 hours and ends at approximately 1630 hours each day. ORDERS/FUNDING/UOD: This announcement supports justification for orders to attend the course. Local unit training (not school) funds should be used. UOD: OCP, flight suit, or any combination of blues are authorized. REGISTRATION: Register at https://airngcbind.eventbrite.com. If you are a Traditional Guardsman, please register with an email address you check regularly. If you have trouble registering using a government computer or network, please use a personal computer or mobile device to register. The exceptional Course Administrators will do their best to assist you. TRAVEL/LODGING: Each registrant is responsible for their own travel reservations. If applicable, travel days to and from the course location are 19 May and 22 May 2022. Hector International Airport (FAR) is the closest major airport. Rental cars are encouraged for members traveling from outside the local area. Carpooling is also encouraged. The host unit has confirmed government rates are available at the following locations with code: North Dakota Air National Guard: 1. LANDING FEE/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: To cover light snacks and beverages available on Friday and Saturday, the host-unit registration team will collect a $10 landing fee via Venmo prior to the event at: https://account.venmo.com/u/Shane-Amundson. While digital payments are preferred, they will also accept cash on Friday morning, prior to the start of the course. All meals will be "on your own" during the course; there are several eateries in and around the local area within reasonable walking and driving distance. Note-taking/reference materials will be provided. No preliminary work is required to attend this course. Registration will be open by 0630 hours on Friday, 20 May 2022, at the venue to allow all attendees enough time to check-in, pay the landing fee, receive course materials, and be in a seat by the start of the course at 0730 hours.
