Loving pitbull

Description
Let me start by saying that Lucy is the best dog. I would normally never consider letting her go except she doesn’t get along with our other pitbull. She has aggression toward other dogs and if there aren’t other dogs in the equation she is the perfect dog. We’ve had her 2 years now, she is 3 years old. She was a rescue, and when we adopted her she had bite marks and scars all over her body, and she was under weight at just 8 months old. The city shelter found her on the streets. She was I believe fighting for her life which is I think why she doesn’t trust other dogs. Another dog yelping triggers her to attack it. Our other dog Tiffany yelped last week in the yard and I had to work hard to break up the fight. The emergency vet was able to staple our other dog back together, and she is healing although fighting off a bad infection. Lucy got hurt pretty badly too. This is probably the 5th dog fight I’ve had, and definitely the worst one. I love Lucy so much and I really don’t want to let her go. But this is kind of a safety issue for our other dog, but both of them really. Lucy likes to to be indoors. They have a dog door to go in and out as they please. After the fight I did have Lucy outside for a while and she dug and chewed through a chain link fence to get back to her dog door. She will go outside and lay in the sun for a while most days, but likes to sleep indoors. She loves being with her people, and she loves attention, walks, and car rides. I won’t take her to a shelter because I know with the dog aggression she likely would not get picked and end up being put down. She has some noise phobias here and there although that has been getting better over time. She will go hide behind furniture when she is feeling anxious. She’s an extremely loving loyal dog and would be perfect for a 1 dog household. Small rehoming fee charged just to try and make sure she goes to the right place. I will keep her and keep the two dogs separated if I have to before I would let her go into the wrong situation. But if the right forever home comes along I will consider moving forward. We are on a wait list with a behaviorist veterinarian in Southern California. I’m I’ll update the post if we are able to get in and have luck with that.
