Part-time EXPERIENCED handyperson. At our apartments, we are seeking a part-time handyman with lots of experience as a handyman. This position will not work for people who are just learning or that do not have very much experience. This position is flexible in hours and days. This opportunity would be great for someone who is looking for extra income. Main Duties • Plumbing - our biggest need is plumbing • Knowledgeable in drywall, tiling, painting, basic electrical • Maintenance, troubleshoot, inspect, and make repairs around property • Repair toilets, sinks, faucets, washer/dryer, windows, doors, screens, siding, lights, switches, outlets, appliances, caulking, painting, etc. • Respond to property maintenance emergencies • Establish a good report with property management, tenants, and visitors • Drive to Home Depot or other stores to buy supplies • Landscaping experience is a plus • Solar panel knowledge is a plus General Expectations • Work authorization in the U.S.A. • Experience as a handyman or property maintenance person • Excellent references • Honesty, maturity, stability, reliability, and attentiveness to details • A reliable car or truck and valid driver’s license • Your own tools is a plus • Must be able to work independently and with others Working Hours: • Flexible - between 8am and 6pm and day of the week Compensation: • To be discussed based on experience Notes about Compensation • We pay twice a month • We do not pay for vacation or sick days, or holidays, or for health-care insurance • We do not pay workers "under the table" or "cash" • You can expect that this hourly wage will apply to the next year (don't expect a raise in six months) • We pay workers on an hourly basis, not on a "project basis" • Please do not apply to this ad if you will likely quit in a few weeks or months; we hope that our work relationship lasts for the longer term • Please do not apply to this ad if the commute to San Jose will become an issue Employee or Contractor?
