FREE Kemetic (African/Centric) Yoga Class for People of Color Hosted by Yoga4Philly Sponsored by Gender Justice Fund and M Thank you for joining the Maternal Wellness Village in observing the 5th Annual Black Maternal Health Week 2022 (#BMHW22)! Founded by BMMA, Black Maternal Health Week is a week of awareness, activism, and community- building aimed at amplifying the voices of Black Mamas, bringing visibility to Black-led maternal health initiatives, and centering the values and traditions of the reproductive and birth justice movements. This flow will be a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body and mind. As we ride the waves of breath in our Yoga practice, we learn to ride the waves of change in our lives with more ease. This class moves from pose to pose with each held for no more than five to eight breaths. Come out to breathe and flow with Yoga4Philly as we work to make peace, love, and healing accessible to everyone through yoga and meditation.
