FRAMINGHAM, MA - MutualOne Bank CEO and MutualOne Charitable Foundation Chairman Mark Haranas announced that the bank has awarded a $15,000 grant to the Framingham Public Library Foundation (FPLF) to assist in the creation of a technology learning center at the Framingham Public Library's main branch.
"This initiative will create a classroom for staff to help patrons of all ages master the latest in technology so they can conduct research, search for jobs, create graphics, and discover other uses for the digital tools," said Haranas. "Such a facility has never been available in the library, and we are pleased to support its creation."
The $15,000 grant to FPLF was among awards totaling $86,000 in the MutualOne Charitable Foundation's most recent round of funding. Established in 1998 as the philanthropic arm of MutualOne Bank, the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has since donated over $5.3 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enrich the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
