MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown Municipal Airport remains closed Saturday after an aircraft left the runway while landing, according to a statement from the Morristown Department of Public Safety. Four people were on board the Learjet that was traveling to Morristown from Fulton County, Georgia, officials said in a news release. The incident happened around 11:20 a.m. While the aircraft sustained significant damage when it left the runway, no one on board was injured, officials said. The airport remains closed while authorities investigate and remove the plane, officials said.
