Press release from the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce: March 29, 2022 Crews will close 88th Street from Ashworth Road to Primo Lane on Monday, April 4, at 6 a.m. so that crews can finish paving the concrete roadway. In addition, the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) will close Ashworth Road from South 88th Street to North 88th Street on Monday, April 4, at 6 a.m. Construction crews will begin paving the concrete roadway that connects to the new bridge. When Ashworth Road reopens, traffic will be driving across the new bridge. Both roads are expected to reopen by Memorial Day weekend.
