Press release from the Town of Mount Pleasant: March 31, 2022 Mount Pleasant, S.C. (March 31, 2022) - Owner Ty Neal and Chef Jon McArthur, joined by Councilmembers Laura Hyatt and John Iacofano, along with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Director of Development Rebecca Imholz and fellow chamber members, celebrated the 1-Year anniversary of Ty's Roadside Coastal Kitchen, located at 713 Coleman Blvd. After fighting through the struggles of establishing a business during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ty's Roadside Coastal Kitchen opened their doors in February 2021. Ty Neal operates his restaurant with the understanding that "hospitality makes a community better". He invites all adventurous souls, whether they are looking for a casual dinner with family or meeting friends for a night out, to come as they are to enjoy 'fire-inspired fare' inspired by the American spirit and the open road. To date, Ty's Roadside Coastal Kitchen has fed thousands of Mount Pleasant residents and visitors and has developed a strong positive reputation in the local community. In an effort to return funds to the local economy and create amazing flavors, many of the items on the menu are locally sourced. The guest experience offered by the restaurant is unique in that two fully-open kitchens are in view with Argentinian-style wood-fired ovens. Watching the action in the kitchen for the guests is akin to being entertained in a theater. While viewing the cooks in the kitchen can be eye-grabbing, the chemistry that happens behind the bar is just as important. Ty's has a wide-ranging list of wines available along with many fun beers to try. This press release was produced by the Town of Mount Pleasant. The views expressed here are the author's own.
