WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter this week. Here is information from the latest reports: A resident in the 4000 block of Woodland Avenue told police March 25 that a $140,000 check was mailed to a company for construction work. But another party fraudulently cashed it. A resident in the 5000 block of Lawn Avenue received an email from a stranger with threatening and vulgar language. The report was made March 23. A resident in the 3900 block of Harvey Avenue told police that a fraudulent income tax return was made using her personal information. Also, a bank account and a college registration were opened using her information. The report was made March 24. Yazan M. Rabadi, 39, of Oak Lawn, was cited about 2 a.m. March 24 at Ogden and Howard avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license and aggravated speeding. He was released on bond. Victor M. Gonzalez, 20, of Glen Ellyn, was cited about 9:30 a.m. Monday at Ogden and Howard avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was released on bond. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
