My name is Alex and I teach bass guitar to students of all levels. Whether your goal is to play in a band with your friends, improve at solo work, or just learn a new hobby, my goal is to help you achieve your goals on bass. I teach all styles with focus in rock, jazz, funk, blues, and many other styles. You tell me how you want to play and I will get you there. A little about me: I have been playing music for almost 30 years and bass exclusively for 20 years, and have been teaching to students of all ages on and off for the past 15 in addition to playing in both working and hobby bands of all styles around New York City and Portland since 2013. I can do either in person or remote lessons if you are more comfortable with remote. For in person you are welcome to come to my home studio or I can travel to your house as well (I am fully vaccinated and boosted). My rates are $45 for a 1 hour lesson Learning music is one of the most rewarding hobbies out there, and I would love to help you start or continue this journey!
