Rappahannock Cleaning Services is accepting applications for 1-2 part time Professional House Cleaner/Commercial Cleaners, working an estimated 10-20 hours a week. We're not just a cleaning company... You'll be joining one of the best professional cleaning companies in the Northern Neck on a mission to transform the lives of the folks we serve. No cleaning experience necessary to apply, we'll teach you everything you need to learn to become one of the best professional cleaners in the Northern Neck! How Does Our Hiring Process Work? • Submit your resume to us via Craigs List • If your resume makes the cut, you'll be contacted to set up a virtual interview with my Virtual Assistant. • If you pass the virtual interview with my VA, she will arrange an interview with the Owner. • If you pass the interview with the Owner, you’ll be asked to pass a background check, pass a drug screening (at our expense) and have your references checked. • If you pass the background check, drug screening and reference check, you will be brought aboard for a 2-week trial period. • If you pass the 2-week trial period, you’ll sign the paperwork to start on with us officially as an employee! • Residential/Commercial Cleaner Responsibilities: • Dusting all surfaces. • Thoroughly cleaning all bathrooms, including toilets, showers, tubs, vanities, interior windows, counters and all relevant surfaces. • Thoroughly cleaning all surfaces and appliances in kitchens. • Cleaning all furniture as needed. • Vacuuming carpets, upholstery, and any other dusty surface. Vacuum and mop all flooring as appropriate. • Making beds and fluffing pillows; doing laundry if necessary (only residential). • Scrubbing and sanitizing all relevant surfaces. • Handling all furniture and appliances carefully. (This list is not all inclusive and there may be other duties required) • Residential/Commercial Cleaner Requirements: • Proper knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals. • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. • Ability to stand, sit, and stoop for long periods. No medical conditions that prohibit you from cleaning people’s homes or commercial businesses (severe asthma, severe back issues, severe pet allergies, etc.). • Polite disposition. • Strong history of attendance and lack of absenteeism at previous places of employment. • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, strong integrity and hardworking personality. • HS Diploma or GED. Bachelors or Associate is a plus (we encourage all our staff to reach their goals academically!) • Must have valid DL and reliable transportation. • For Residential Cleaners: Ability to work a variety of hours during the week for (8:30am-6pm M-F for residential -sometimes later if jobs run over time limit) • For Commercial Cleaners: Ability to work a variety of hours in the evening during the week (5-9:00 pm M-F) and 8:00 am-9:00 pm on Saturday.
