Email only. If this ad is up, she is available. Please read the whole ad. I will not answer emails asking if she is available or asking simple questions that have already been answered in the ad. Rehoming is fee $200 firm. Must pick up. This is Liesel, she will be one year old at the end of July. She has been de-scented and spayed. She has received her first distemper shot. She is an extremely playful girl who hates being stuck in her cage unless it's nighttime. I usually open her cage in the morning when I wake up and don't close her in it until night when it's time for bed. She gets along with every human and animals she meets - EXCEPT birds. Her prey drive for birds is extremely high and she will stop at nothing to get her cute-yet-malicious little ferret paws on one. Even if the bird is in a cage with bars that Liesel cannot fit through, she will stalk the cage and wait for the bird to come near the side, and then she'll grab it with one hand and choke it. I know this is horrible to read about, but I cannot stress enough that you should NOT adopt Liesel if you have a bird!!!! I told all of this to someone who adopted her, but they did not listen and had her in a home with birds and returned after she nearly choked one of the birds to death. Ferrets are predators. Liesel will never get along with birds. Please do not adopt her if you have birds. She'll even go after large birds, such as ducks and chickens. She does, however, get along great with rats, dogs, and cats. Liesel needs a home that can match her energy. She's your normal hyperactive ferret with a lot of love to give. She loves to hand wrestle, to play with cats, and give nose kisses. Her favorite things to play with are a tub of dirt or a plastic bag. Sometimes she'll play with those balls that have bells on them, but nothing beats digging through soil or going psychotic in a plastic bag for her. She's a simple gal in this respect. Her ideal home has cats (preferably kittens that love to wrestle) that are accustomed to ferrets, or - even more preferably - a home with another ferret. She also needs her humans to be very patient and understanding, as she loves to bite ankles and fingers. I do not think she'd do well in a home with young children as she DOES like to chase and bite ankles when you walk by if she's in her playful mood. She comes with her cage which has three shelves, three ramps, her hammock (although it's pretty worn), and her food bowl. She does not have a water bottle because she has always preferred drinking from my dogs' bowl.
