ANNAPOIS, MD — The stage is set for an adrenaline-filled Thursday in Annapolis. Motorsports star Travis Pastrana will jump over Ego Alley in a rally car, The Baltimore Sun Reports. Crews assembled ramps on both sides of the downtown waterway in preparation for the jump. Local resident Robert Miller shared the view from City Dock. The ramp appears to be 10 to 15 feet tall. Pastrana uploaded pictures of his latest car to Instagram Wednesday morning. He may take the the leap of faith in this new Subaru Gymkhana, which sports Maryland flag decals. Pastrana jumped over the Caesar's Palace fountain on a dirt bike in 2018, skydived without a parachute in 2007, and soared over 269 feet of water in 2009. The Annapolis jump will be part of an extreme sports film taped by Hoonigan Industries. Filming will shut down parts of the city and disrupt local parking throughout Thursday. The complete shutdown schedule is posted here. Annapolis officials warn locals that the stunt will involve scattered moments of loud noises. The precision driving will not put Pastrana nor Annapolis' infrastructure at risk, the city says. The Annapolis Police Department will be on hand throughout the day. Officers may turn away spectators hoping to catch a glimpse of the event. The city says tax dollars are not paying for the stunt. Officials claim the videographers are reimbursing Annapolis for all the associated public safety costs. The city's full announcement is here.
