Description

About me: I'm an anti-capitalist hippie and elder emo kid who moved to the woods to avoid the city. Most say I have too many words, and so I've started to write my own songs over the past few years to get them out of my head and make them everyone else's problem. I'm by no means professional, and I'm still struggling with the musical aspect working in conjunction with my lyrics. I'm looking to change that and work with either a band or other musician who's used to writing songs and would like to create some art. I've battled depression and anxiety my entire life, and most of my lyrics are about the sweet lies these diseases use to torture a soul, along with nihilistic melancholy and social injustice. My vibes are more metal/punk (and yes, the dreaded folk punk) and what I like to call "crunchy", and I don't hold fast to many rules when it comes to song structure or creation. Not currently looking to do anything publicly until my skills and our cohesion is determined. About you: You are a band, small group, or individual who is looking to collaborate to create music and revel in the art of it. You have a passion to create for the benefit of your own mind as well as the effect art has on society, and that's what drives you. Preferably you are also enraged by the state of society, comfortable with discussion of mental health/imperialist systems, and punk as frick. My musical and lyrical inspiration sampling platter: Disturbed, anything Corey Taylor, Days N Daze, Three Days Grace, Seether, Linkin Park, PUP, AJJ, Slipknot, Badflower, AX7, System of a Down, Crown the Empire, Watsky, Hobo Johnson, Matt Maeson, Falling in Reverse, MISSIO, IDKHBTFM, Arctic Monkeys, half.alive, SIAMES, Blue October.
