King Ranch Turfgrass is seeking position for Lot Help Hours of operation Monday through Friday and half day on Saturday during spring, summer, and fall season. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved or distributed. • Move materials from receiving to storage or to other designated areas. • Sort and place pallets of sod according to predetermined sequence such as type and size. • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or loads on to customer vehicles. • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. • Water and maintain grass as needed. • Maintain lot by cleaning, sweeping and washing down areas. • Help maintain work equipment by properly storing and cleaning equipment after use. Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED: • Prior fork lift experience preferred. • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC: • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction. • Ability to do manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion, e.g., continuous walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.) • Ability to do manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion, e.g., continuous walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with others. Must be able to accept corrective criticism from supervisor. Must be Dependable and on time Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of King Ranch if necessary.
