Description
Needed: Entry level worker on my home weatherization crew. Willing to train. Experience working with Austin Energy programs starts you at a higher hourly but not required. The ideal candidate is curious, dedicated, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
A typical day in the field will include:
Installing insulation and replacing ducts in attics.
Air duct repair: sealing, installation and replacing grills.
Installing smart thermostats.
Installing solar screens.
Weatherstripping doors and caulking plumbing penetrations.
Candidates need a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to drive a company work truck. Covid-19 vaccination preferred. This is a City of Austin Weatherization Assistance Program so work is steady.
