ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said a man tampered with several cars in Annapolis early Wednesday morning. Officers went to the 1800 block of Sunwood Court to scope out the scene just before 2 a.m. Police reported seeing the man pull on a door handle. Investigators added that he tried to enter a second car before officers arrived. They also accused him stealing from a nearby vehicle. The Anne Arundel County Police Department arrested the suspect, James Francis Mayrose Jr., on the spot. The 21 year-old Annapolis man faces four charges, all of which are misdemeanors. One of those counts accuses Mayrose of robbery worth less than $100. The remaining three counts charge Smith with rogue and vagabond, a crime related to breaking and entering cars. Mayrose appeared in court later on Monday. He was released on recognizance. His case does not yet list a trial date. Like what you're reading?
