ANNAPOLIS, MD — Thanksgiving will be a little different this year. With coronavirus cases spiking, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday. Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed on Thursday's holiday: Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and Annapolis government offices will be closed on Thursday. Courts: Courts are closed Thursday and Friday. Court hours are listed here. Parks: All parks will be open for their normal hours. Park hours are listed here. This interactive map shows the parks closest you. Libraries: All Anne Arundel County Public Library branches will be closed on Thursday. All branches have reopened for limited, in-person service. Patrons must book an appointment by calling their local library, however. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here. Post Offices: Post offices will be closed on Thursday. Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here. Annapolis trash pickup will have some shakeups. Thursday pickup will happen on Friday and Friday collection will be pushed to Saturday. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should reach out to Annapolis Public Works. Buses: The Annapolis bus schedule will run limited routes on the holiday. Only the purple bus will run on Thursday. That line will run on a Sunday schedule. The County Connector will run on a Sunday schedule this Thursday. Anne Arundel County will not run any buses on Thanksgiving.
