Steel fabrication company in South Seattle with an outstanding reputation for over 20 years of providing a quality product with the highest level of customer service, seeks a hardworking, dependable person for an open position of Truck Driver/Shop Worker. Applicant must have a clean Washington State driving record. The ideal applicant will have knowledge of WSDOT trucking rules and regulations, as well as experience loading and strapping/securing structural and miscellaneous fabricated steel on flatbed trucks. Must be able to do the heavy lifting that this position requires. Applicant will be drug free, and subject to random drug testing. In addition to working independently in a fast paced environment, when not performing the duties of Truck Driver, applicant will work with the shop supervision to plan and organize future work/deliveries. Assist shipping and receiving and or work in the fabrication shop. Shop work duties require applicant to be flexible and willing to do the tasks that need to be done (i.e. sweep floor, drill/punch holes, run saw/ironworker, clean and paint material). A positive attitude with outstanding customer service skills and the ability to perform the duties with a high level of accuracy, will reward the applicant with a competitive hourly wage, medical and dental benefits, paid holiday, personal time off and 401K participation. This is a full time day shift position, M-F, with overtime at time and half pay. Must be US work eligible and Drug Free. Compensation review after 90 day period.
