This is Finn. He is an incredibly sweet, snuggly, and friendly Irish Doodle (Irish Setter & Poodle). He is almost 2. He’s very high energy, loves to play fetch endlessly, loves to walk, go to dog parks, etc. He is very excitable but he’s been through numerous professional training programs as we intended for him to be a service dog for our son, so he knows many obedience commands and tasks. We’ve had Finn since he was 7 weeks old and as I mentioned, he was intended to be raised as a service/therapy dog for our son however, despite lots of specific training, it hasn’t been Finns destiny, I guess. Unfortunately, our son has not been able to build trust with Finn (he likes to steal stuffed animals which happen to be my sons sensory comfort) and we’ve found that this sweet dog is causing more stress than therapeutic value. Finn is a really wonderful companion. He is very people-driven and needs a lot of touching, petting and snuggling. He gets along with other dogs (excitedly) but not so well with cats. Great with kids.
