Description

We have an opening for a part-time commercial sandblaster to work at our facility in Salem, MA. Work consists of using a sandblast tank with abrasive media to achieve a particular finish on a piece of metal. We do not remove any coatings or paint from metal. We only sandblast uncoated metal in order to prep for painting or coating. We use glass bead and other abrasives. You will wear a pressurized helmet with a powered air-purifying respirator that keeps you cool while you work. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, be drug-free, and enjoy doing physical work. Most of the objects we sandblast are pipes and frames, and we have a large 30' x 20' x 10' room to easily maneuver and work. We use a forklift on-site (training can be provided if you don't have a forklift certification). OSHA-10 Certification preferred, however if you don't have OSHA-10, we can assist you in obtaining it.
