GUITAR-UKULELE LESSONS From a teacher w/ over 35 years exp. (Sun City) Hi, My name is Michael, and I have been teaching music for over 40 years. I really do love teaching, that's why I you'll see I'm pretty good at it. I teach guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, lap-steel and computer-related audio and MIDI. Since I've been teaching for over 40 years, once I start teaching a student I stay, I won't be gone to play with a band or take a different job You can visit my web site at http://fradellamusic.com for more detailed information on my lessons. Please contact me through Craigslist or my website to set up lessons or ask any questions you might have. There is a questionnaire on the website you can fill out and ask any questions through that. A few things I would like you to know about me before making your decision on an instructor for you or your child: *Many of my students have gone on to become professional, steadily working musicians, most even make money at it;-). *I like to become personally involved with my students. I help them with buying guitars, getting their instruments repaired or customized to their liking, finding people to play with and anything they ask me to help with. *I have students who have attended, or are now preparing to attend, Berklee College of Music in Boston, S F JazzConservatory or other advanced music training facilities that I helped them prepare for. *Some of my letters of recommendation from present and past students and parents are on my Web site. I continue to be great friends with all my students and continue in a mentoring role for some of them still. *Lessons are customized to you or your child's aptitude and abilities, all students are NOT taught the same way, students or their parents can choose whether they wish to learn to read music or not. If not, all students learn to read guitar tablature, a much easier system where songs are universally available on the internet *I have also spent many more years performing music both as a solo guitarist and as a member of various types of bands from Rock to Jazz to Big Band and Country. Most recently I was the lead guitarist for the legendary "Drifters" and have played with other big name acts over the years. So, if you are planning to one day perform your music, I can give you valuable insight on playing live in different environments and writing music. CHOOSE A TEACHER WISELY Please choose a teacher wisely, even if you don't study with me. It saddens me to see promising students become disillusioned and disinterested in studying an instrument as a result of their first introduction to playing being with an out-of-work guitar player who has no experience teaching and is only out there looking to make a few bucks until their band starts working again or another job comes through. Unfortunately, this happens more often than expected, so just be sure to ask questions -- good teachers encourage that and are happy to answer anything that makes you feel more relaxed about their teaching and experience. Feel free to contact me through Craigslist or my Web site at http://fradellamusic.com, I will be glad to answer any questions or discuss your goals for you or your child. Wishing you all the best in your musical endeavors, Michael
