Bison in Colorado - not just a mascot Join Schweiger Ranch Foundation and South Suburban Parks & Recreation District to learn about the bison’s important history and uses while walking the high plains. What changes occurred when bison were heavily depleted, then replaced by cattle brought by Europeans? These majestic creatures held a pivotal role in Native American life and are gaining renewed importance in recent years. This hike is lead by a South Suburban naturalist. This event is held outdoors and may be canceled due to inclement weather.
