May Peace Prevail on Earth and in our Community during our Earth Day Celebration to replant The original Peace Garden and a New Peace Pole .
Join us for the Peace Pole Ceremony on the 22nd. The Peace Pole is a standing Prayer “May Peace Prevail on Earth”, written in 8 languages and is part of the Global Peace Pole Project w/special dedication to the Ukraine. May the replanting of The Peace Garden, formally located on the Cranford Campus of Union County College, the first peace site in NJ at the Elmora Branch Library bring peace into our world, our country, our state, our county and our community.
The Global Peace Pole Project started in one community after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima at the end of World War II it gain popularity in and when internationalin 1983. Our Peace Garden planted it’s first pole in 1984 and became the first peace site in the state of New Jersey .
On the 23rd Picnic & Planning. Bring your lunch. The original peace garden members, always turned Gardening Days into some sort of picnic or gathering. Come to the new Peace Garden. You will be joining a group of environmentally conscious peaceful people who care about the Planet as much as you do. Come and be a Caretaker of Earth. Many volunteer hours to be gained this year for all.
