Description

Enjoy the award-winning Dalí Quartet in a performance to benefit the young artists of the Primavera Fund! Reception to follow! The Dalí Quartet is acclaimed for bringing Latin American quartet repertoire to an equal standing alongside the Classical and Romantic canon. In this Primavera Presents, the group will perform works by Joseph Haydn and Felix Mendelssohn as well as Astor Piazzolla and Efraín Amaya. We are also pleased to feature Sebastian Gonzales, a talented Primavera Artist, who will join the group to perform a Mozart oboe quintet. Following the performance, all guests are invited to a reception to meet the musicians of the Dalí Quartet and to learn more about the beneficiaries of the Primavera Fund, the Primavera Artists. Wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres to be served. The mission of The Primavera Fund is to disrupt inequity in classical music by mentoring and financially sustaining young, promising Philadelphians. The mission of the Dalí Quartet is to showcase excellent music by underrepresented composers. For this concert, we are able to bring you an interesting and dynamic program and continue to advance our aligned missions. We know you will enjoy it!
