A presentation that showcases the latest in drone survey technology followed by a networking happy hour.
Drones, or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), have been used in cartography, municipal and construction industries for the past few years. Technology for automated photogrammetry combined with progressively better hardware and software has made previously unavailable precision of survey-grade drones a reality. Come join us for a presentation outlining the hardware options out there, the range of software available, and the pros / cons of aerial surveying in northern Illinois.
The 1-hour training session will begin at 1 pm, will include opportunity for questions, and will be followed with a social hour from 2 pm to 4 pm at First Draft (250 Center St, Grayslake) to foster networking and promote further discussion on this interesting topic.
