Stories from a cold war SR-71 & U2 pilot
Tensions during the Cold War produced two of the most famous and iconic aircraft ever built. These aircraft were designed for one purpose: to photograph & monitor rival nations.
The famed SR-71 "Blackbird" & the U-2 "Dragon Lady" were developed by Lockheed at their "Skunk Works" facility in California and the pilots selected to command these planes and complete their missions were nothing short of the very best.
Major Stormy Boudreaux is one of only 12 US Air force pilots ever to pilot BOTH the SR-71 & U-2. As such, we are proud to present him to you during the 2022 Fort Worth Foto Fest.
Stormy will be discussing missions aboard the SR-71 & U-2 including some technical details of the onboard imaging equipment and how the practice of photography steered the United States' course during the Cold War against the U.S.S.R. and their allies.
This is sure to be a fascinating presentation for any aviation enthusiast and full of lessons that apply to any photographer. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 14th, as we present to you discussions from a living legend in aviation imaging.
