Description
Brewfest is BACK! In partnership with Starboard Raw. Proceeds raised will support the charity Sean's House & DE Brewers Guild Brewfest is back and better than ever! We've partnered with our neighbors, friends, and local legends - Starboard Raw. This year we're hosting the event on the first Tuesday in May to support our brothers and sisters in the service industry. This was done with great contemplation and consideration for all the fellow industry workers who have pushed through all the craziness of the past two years. We wanted to plan a day that would allow ALL to participate without also pulling extra hours at the "office". FREE Parking for all and more space availability ๐ซ Discounted hotel rooms at the Beach House Hotel ๐ฅณ A fantastic reason to play hooky from work โฑ Mid-week beach visits are the best ๐ป More Breweries are able to attend and serve up amazing brews The Details: Two sessions are available to accommodate as many as possible with a limit of 150 tickets per session. Each year we choose a local non-profit to benefit from Brewfest proceeds. We have selected two very worthy local non-profits to receive this yearโs DBBF proceeds, and to add to the almost $50,000 that the DBBF has raised over the years for awesome, deserving, local non-profits! This yearโs beneficiaries are: 1. The Delaware Brewers Guild. The Delaware Brewers Guild (DBG) is a place where brewers come together in the First State. During the pandemic, the DBG was the best source of information, and was fully instrumental in helping us to navigate through all of the rules, regulations, statistics, grants, aid, etc., and regularly held zoom meetings, keeping us informed and offering suggestions on how we should keep moving. During the pandemic, as our industry was hurting, so too were all the organizations tied into our industry. We want to use this event to recognize the DBG, thank them, and give back for all of their tireless work. https://www.facebook.com/DelawareBrewersGuild/ 2. Sean's House Sean's House, located in Newark, DE, provides very important services to those battling depression and mental health issues, matters very relevant not only during the past two years, but also very prevalent in our industry. Please check out their web page, to see all of the incredible work that they are doing, in memoriam of Sean Locke, an athlete, a UD alum, a huge fan of Dewey, a young man that succumbed to his battle with depression. It is important to us to shed a light on mental health after the very arduous last two years of the pandemic. We also felt a personal connection to Seanโs House as Gary, Holly, and Pat Coleman (the GM from Starboard Raw) are all UD alumni, as was Sean. Please check out Seanโs House and share their website with someone who may benefit from their services. https://www.unlockethelight.com
