Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Chelmsford Garden Club with a look at wedding floral design, dresses and decor over the past century! The Weddings Through the Century venues will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21, 2022. Your ticket allows you to visit on either day. The event starts at the Garrison House at 105 Garrison Road in Chelmsford and them moves on to Chelmsford Center where you will visit the All Saints Episcopal Church, The Chelmsford Public Garden and the Central Congregational Church. The Old Chelmsford Garrison House: Enjoy wedding décor and flowers designed for a traditional barn wedding and a wonderful collection of wedding gowns from the late 1800’s to today. All Saints Episcopal Church: Don’t miss the classic 1922 wedding scene and music in the historic chapel of All Saints Episcopal Church. Look for the exquisite stained-glass windows! The Chelmsford Public Garden: Visit an elegant, enchanted garden featuring a stunning floral arbor for today’s wedding couples to take their vows – some couples may even choose to renew their vows today! Enjoy the trees, flowering shrubs, potted plants and floral arrangements and their dazzling color palette. Don’t miss the wedding attire for a bride, groom and bridesmaid, the flower laden wedding cake, sweetheart table décor, and the miniature fairy gardens hidden among the plantings. There will even be photo ops! Central Congregational Church Gazebo: Everyone loves a small, intimate wedding! Wander over to Central Congregational Church to see a mid-century garden wedding in the church’s charming gazebo.
