The City of Temple's National Train Day is an annual event celebrating the anniversary of the first transcontinental railroad in the USA! Train Day FAQs Date & Time Saturday May 7, 2022 Tickets sold in 15-minute time slots 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Location 315 W. Avenue B, Temple TX. 76501 Where is the Museum Entrance? The Museum entrance faces the Santa Fe Plaza located at Avenue A & N. 5th Street. Fee & Ticket Guidelines $5.00 per person, children 2 and under free. ALL tickets are advance purchase only through Eventbrite. NO tickets sold at the door on the day of the event. What can I expect during the Train Day event? Guests can expect inside & outside activities including photo opportunities, caricature and balloon artists, face painting, drawings for prize filled suitcases, barrel train on the Santa Fe Plaza, the return of Speeder Cars on the tracks behind the Museum and much more! Will there be vendors on site? Confirmed vendors include Kona Ice, Cupcake Avenue & Wes Albanese Photography. Will the Museum be open for visitation? Visitation to the Museum & Gift Shop will be open during the hours of 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors to the Museum must have a Train Day ticket. Are restrooms available? Restrooms are available for all ticketed participants. What happens if I miss my designated time slot? To ensure a proper flow of people throughout the event it is vital that all ticket holders arrive on time. The Railroad Museum reserves the right to not allow entry to ticket holders arriving more than 15 minutes late. Is it possible to get a refund on my tickets? All tickets are final sale and no refunds will be available. Where can I park? Parking is available in multiple locations around the Santa Fe Plaza at no charge. What Can or Can’t be brought INSIDE the Museum? ALLOWED • Purse • Diaper Bags • Camera’s • Strollers PROHIBITED • No outside food, beverages or glass containers • No pets (except service animals) • No smoking inside the building • Drones or any other flying device • Illegal substances • Weapons of any kind • Portable / Collapsible Chairs • Skateboards / Scooters / Bicycles / Carts / or Motorized Scooters (exceptions for medical use). Safety Please remember that you are attending an event inside a Museum. While enjoying the facility please maintain close oversight of children to ensure their safety and to avoid damage to precious artifacts. COVID Guidelines It is HIGHLY recommended but not required that a mask be worn for this event. We ask that you follow all safety and health protocols by staying home if you or someone you know has been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 10 days. The City of Temple reserves the right to adjust these guidelines based on current health and safety recommendations. By attending this Event you voluntarily assume all risks related to possible exposure to COVID-19.
