The mission is to promote athletic and entertainment through music for the urban youth by providing positive peer role models who exhibit sportsmanship, and driven talent showcase of indiviles under the age of 18. The purpose is to refocus our your th introducing them to sports to help engage to keep them off the streets. A opportunity could transfor a child’s life by giving them a positive and productive outlet and discouraging them from using violence. The “ Drop The Gun, Pick Up The Ball“ youth segment presented by Vegas Black Pride in partnership with Net Worth Sports, gives boys and girls ages 7-14 the opportunity to play on a basketball team with celebrities, prominent influencers, and community members. The segment encourages sportsmanship, physical heath, and teamwork while discouraging gun violence. This cause is near and dear to Vegas Black Pride Founder Johanna Perez, as her mother was gunned down violently when she was the age of 7. Her mother left behind 6 children.
