STAMFORD, CT — White House press secretary and Stamford Native Jen Psaki will leave Washington, D.C. in May and join MSNBC, according to Axios.
Axios reported that Psaki, who has served in her current role in the White House since President Joe Biden was sworn into office, is in exclusive talks with MSNBC and a deal is close to being finalized. Psaki will host a show on NBCUniversal's streaming platform, Peacock, and make appearances on MSNBC's live programing, Axios said.
Psaki, 43, was born in Stamford and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996. Before her work in the Biden administration, she served in the Obama administration as a deputy communications director. She was also a State Department spokesperson.
Axios reported that Psaki had conversations with CNN and other networks in recent weeks. Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 to 2020.
