The focus will be on fencing solutions that keep out large pests (groundhogs and deer). In 2019, Garfield Community Farm lost almost 45% of its annual crops to groundhogs and deer. Installing low-cost fencing in 2020 reduced crop loss by 85%. AJ Monsma, the Community Engagement Coordinator, will share some of the fencing solutions that have worked for them. This includes fencing for raised beds and fencing around larger in-ground areas. Note: The focus will be on fencing solutions that keep out large pests (groundhogs and deer). Free event!
