The Bedford Select Board and the Bedford Board of Assessors are seeking applicants for an interim appointment to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Assessors after a recent resignation. The Board of Assessors consists of three elected members, and more information about its roles and responsibilities can be found at https://www.bedfordma.gov/assessors.
The appointment for this seat will run through the next Annual Town Election (March 11, 2023).
The interim member may choose to run in that election to serve the remaining year of the vacated term, which expires on March 9, 2024.
Any Bedford registered voters interested in volunteering for appointment to this position are invited to apply by submitting a Volunteer Questionnaire to the Town Manager's Office or by e-mail to [email protected]. The deadline for submitting a questionnaire to be considered for this position is Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
A joint public meeting of the Bedford Select Board and the Bedford Board of Assessors will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 to interview applicants and appoint the position.
