Volunteers Needed Saturday At Whitemarsh Park To Protect Forest

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — If you enjoy working outside, join the Bowie Green Team Saturday at 9 a.m. and help remove English ivy from the forest of Whitemarsh Park. Students can earn service-learning hours and Scouts can work toward their badges, but everyone must be at least 14 years old to participate. Tools and training will be provided. As there will be poison ivy and ticks, organizers ask that everyone wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, socks and closed-toe shoes. Workdays are limited to 30 participants so be sure to register in advance by emailing [email protected]. Whitemarsh Park is located at 100 White Marsh Pk Dr. in Bowie.
