Shreve Memorial Library Offers Grow with Google Workshops in April

Press release from Shreve Memorial Library: March 29, 2022 Shreve Memorial Library Hamilton/South Caddo Branch is offering a series of Grow with Google workshops throughout the month of April. The public is encouraged to come and learn how to become more efficient using Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and more. The workshops take place on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Technology Center at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, located at 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Seating is limited and registration is required. Register at the Information Services desk in person. The workshop series kicks off on Friday, April 1 with a "Learn the Basics of Google Drive" workshop. Participants will learn how to store and share files in Google Drive and discover how Google Drive keeps files safe and secure. Participants will practice using their drive and receive tips about how to keep it organized. "Learn the Basics of Google Docs" workshop will take place on Friday, April 8. In this workshop, participants will create a Google Doc, share it with others, and learn to use editing and suggestion mode as well as leave comments during a discussion and practice session. For those interested in creating and editing spreadsheets, "Learn the Basics of Google Sheets" workshop takes place on Friday, April 22. Attendees will create and edit spreadsheets, while working with others simultaneously, collaborating, sharing, editing and seeing each other's changes as they make them. April's Grow with Google workshops wrap up on Friday, April 29. Patrons are encouraged to attend "Basics of Google Slides" workshop and learn how to create and format slide presentations for work, business, and other meetings.
