LONG VALLEY, NJ - Washington Township residents will see their wallets a little lighter if the proposed 2022 budget is approved next month.
This year's budget represents a $1,093,826.86 increase over the 2021 budget of $19,459,424.20., coming in at $20,553,251.06. It is an approximately $48 increase for the average homeowner assessed at $436,000.
There will be a public hearing at 7 p.m. on April 18 at 43 Schooley's Mountain Road. The budget does not include the taxes for the Washington Township K-8 district or the West Morris Regional School District.
