LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports: Burglary ItzaBeauty salon, 130 N. La Grange Road, was burglarized overnight Monday. Someone stole $20 worth of products. Fraud A resident in the 10 block of Drexel Avenue told police about making a payment via Zelle to a company for construction work. It is believed the payment instructions were fraudulent and that the payment went to someone else. The resident is out $5,000.Horton's Ace Hardware, 60 S. La Grange Road, told police about receiving a bad check for $900 worth of power tools about noon Thursday. Warrant Warren Campbell, 41, of La Grange, was arrested about 5 p.m. March 24 in the 10 block of Hayes Avenue on a warrant. Identity theft A resident in the 800 block of South La Grange Road told police March 25 that someone opened a bank account using the resident's name. The account was closed, and no financial loss was reported. Driving violations Israel Romero-Bahena, 39, of Highwood, was cited about 4:30 p.m. March 25 in the 10 block of North La Grange Road on charges of no valid driver's license and expired registration. Mikaya Hunter, 39, of Highwood, was arrested about 8 p.m. March 25 at Ogden and Blanchan avenues on a warrant and charges of driving an uninsured vehicle and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration. Filemon Avila, 42, of La Grange, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 47th Street and Brainard Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license. His arrest happened when police responded to a three-car crash. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
