JOLIET, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office arrested a 33-year-old Joliet man from the 500 block of Parkwood Drive and a 33-year-old Chicago man who lives on South Drake Avenue following a drug raid Tuesday.
The two men are accused of dealing cocaine and marijuana in the Joliet area.
The Will County State's Attorney's Office has charged co-defendants Octavio Gomez of Joliet and Fortino Hernandez with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis.
On Tuesday, Gomez had more than 900 grams of cocaine and more than 5,000 grams of marijuana, court documents show. The intent to deliver charge indicates that both Hernandez and Gomez planned to deliver more than 900 grams of cocaine.
Hernandez spent one day in the Will County Jail before posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bail on Wednesday.
Gomez, on the other hand, remains in custody, unable to post 10 percent of his $1 million bail.
