GLENVIEW, IL — A 39-year-old man was shot and battered during an argument with someone he knew Thursday night at Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave., according to police. He was taken by the Glenview Fire Department to Glenbrook Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released. Police said a suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival following the 10:49 p.m. incident. It is believed to be an isolated incident with no known threat to the public.
