Press release from the City of Fargo: March 29, 2022 The Fargo Police Department successfully arrested James Nynotah, a 44-year-old male, without incident at 9:48 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 in Fargo. Nynotah had been named as a suspect in a homicide case in Champlin, MN. On Tuesday morning the Fargo Police Department was made aware of Nynotah's presence in an apartment unit located at the 3100 block of 34th Ave. in Fargo. The tenants of the apartment were known to Nynotah and they were cooperative with the Fargo Police Department during the arrest. Nynotah is not a resident of Fargo. Red River Regional SWAT was requested to assist with serving an arrest warrant. However, Nynotah was arrested by the Fargo Police Department before SWAT entered the building.
