Sacred Spaces, Sacred Stories presents the history of one of North Carolina's earliest municipal cemeteries for African Americans, established in 1872. Through the display, visitors will learn about the cemetery's creation, evolution, and the stories of the notable people buried there who shaped Raleigh's growth and shaped its communities.
