Description
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Residents should be advised of the spring hydrant flushing for Rockville Centre.
It is expected to start on April 6 and last until April 12.
Of note, the flushing may cause a drop in water pressure and/or discolored water to flow into homes and businesses. The village says the water is safe to drink but it could stain laundry.
Here's the schedule breakdown: (all work is listed from midnight to 8 a.m.)
Wed., April 6: The area just north of DeMott Avenue.
Thurs., April 7: The area between Lakeview Avenue and DeMott Avenue, west of Long Beach Road.
Fri., April 8: The area between Sunrise Highway and DeMott Avenue, east of Long Beach Road.
Mon., April 11: The area from Lakeview Avenue to Merrick Road.
Tues., April 12: The area south of Merrick Road.
For any questions, you can call the Water Department at 516-678-9301.
