WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested two 19-year-olds early Thursday morning after responding to a shots-fired call near an entrance to Green Hill Park.
Police went to 3 Breck St. around 12:30 a.m. after a ShotSpotter device detected gunfire near that address. Police found an SUV parked outside a Breck Street home with the two 19-year-olds inside.
After Worcester police found spent shell casings near the SUV, police moved to arrest the two men. When police opened the passenger door, an officer saw what appeared to be a gun magazine near floor. Police also reportedly struggled with the passenger during his arrest. Police later found a loaded gun and a bag of marijuana at the scene, they reported.
The driver, an Everard Street resident, was charged with multiple gun law violations, including carrying a gun without a license. The passenger, a Shamrock Street resident, was also charged with gun law violations, plus resisting arrest.
