Hiring seasoned carpenter or skilled apprentice
Jobs
Raleigh NC
Description
Work focus at triangle and surrounding areas. Imagine from Wake Forest/Louisburg areas over to about Chapel Hill/Hillsborough, to as far south as Pinehurst and fayetteville. Largest concentration is in and around Raleigh but must be willing to work the surrounding areas as well. We do remodeling, carpentry, honey-do lists + punchlists, general property management/maintenance, and much more. Looking for someone that has skills and shows up to work on time and works efficiently and proficient to complete tasks at hand with an eye for detail. Reliable transportation required. Seasoned carpenter will be required to have all of their own tools. (Van or trailer to haul them in would be ideal as well) I will cover all disposables- blades, nails, glues, screws, shims, bits, ect. (If you're responsible with usage and not misplacing/burning through an exorbitant amount of them every single day from misuse). You will also be expected to be capable of working by yourself and or with a helper. (I work by myself now, so I know it can be done but I also know it's easier with a helper. If you're good I'll find a broom pusher/gopher to make your life easier once we've established rapport and we're both sure this is a good fit) Skilled apprentice should have all basic handtools, pouch/tape/square/punches/dykes/levels, ect + basic power tools like drills, multitools, skillsaw ect. You will be expected to be a broompusher/gopher until you've shown me otherwise. If you're capable of running on your own/with help I will be quick to promote. Pay will reflect experience and what you bring to the table. You will find that I'm very fair. It will start from $15 to $18 for skilled apprentice and from $22+ for seasoned carpenter. I do an onboarding process where for a trial period of around 2 to 4 weeks you will be paid weekly every Friday for hours worked via check (Guaranteed 40/hrs per week). After 30 days your onboarding will be complete and we will sit down and do a performance review. From there you will receive your first raise to what we think you've brought to the table/capable of, and from there forward you will get consistent raises every year. (Calandar will be marked, no more waiting months after your scheduled review date to receive your raises) During this review we will discuss PTO structure and holidays, bonuses, ect which you will become eligible for. If you don't have the skills and hustle to do this kind of work, dont reply. I need a no drama, no BS kind of person. I am NOT looking for subs. If you are capable, then respond with the following-- The role you want to fill, what your skills are, how long you have been doing this, and what you are currently doing now. Also include your contact information, expected pay rate, and any references you may have. If you read this ad fully and include all of the information I asked for, I will respond to you, and if you don't include the information the email will be deleted. Thanks
