About the role: The Production Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of weekend shift production and operations workers to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This position oversees operational procedures and protocols, systems, and principles such as, the flow of information and business processes, enhances data reporting by looking for opportunities to expand systems and processes. >> Position schedule will be Thursday – Sunday. << What you’ll be doing: ● Planning, assigning, and directing work. ● Scheduling, forecasting work schedules, and production sequences to meet production goals. ● Interviewing, training, coaching new and existing employees. ● Evaluate performance; recognize and reward strong performance while taking appropriate disciplinarian actions when required. ● Enforcing policies, procedures, and safety protocols. ● Ensuring training plans are implemented and effective; build a flexible team through cross-training initiatives. ● Analyzing process workflow and equipment. ● Observing work, monitoring equipment indicators to ensure operators conform to production and/or processing standards. ● Reviewing and approving all operational invoices and submitting for payment. ● Setting up and adjusting machines and equipment; troubleshooting or contacting support team to fix when applicable. ● Maintaining operations data such as time, production, and cost records. ● Requisitioning (as needed) materials, supplies, equipment parts, repair services. ● Conferring with other supervisor(s) to coordinate operations and activities within or between shifts or departments. ● Assuming ownership of the root cause, corrective actions, and follow up of all issues and resolutions. ● Maintaining neat and clean work areas using cleaning checklists and 5S standards. ● Ensuring compliance with PPE requirements; ensure a safe work environment for all employees What we’re looking for: ● 2+ years of experience supervising direct reports in a high volume, fast-paced Process Operations or Production environment. ● Understanding of production planning and process flow in a manufacturing environment. ● High attention to detail, quality control and continuous improvement. ● Strong communication and leadership skills. ● Strong critical thinking and time Management skills. ● Extremely organized.
